Election day

Well today is the day. After today all the negative adds will be finished and the post election slaughter will begin. The media would have us believe the right is on the ropes, but I know many people are praying about this election like no other. As badly as the republicans have performed, a democratically controlled congress and senate frightens me. All the advances the profamily movement has seen would quite probably be wiped out in short order. the homosexual agenda would receive a big shot in the arm. We are closer now to having abortionists on the run, but a loss like the one the media is trumpeting for the right would certainly turn the tide of that battle. Pleas vote today even if you are as sick of politics as I am. More importantly, pray, pray that profamily candidates are elected. Pray for this nation. I believe the very existence of families as we now know them will be forever changed.

A Compliment?

While reading the paper this morning my liberal coworker asked me to read a column written by David Waters in the Memphis Commercial Appeal for Sunday. In this article Mr Waters states that he is constantly getting emails accusing him of being a liberal. I will quote some of the article here. "Third why do so many people think I am a liberal? I used to be a liberal. Then I had teenagers." "And even if I am a liberal, so what?" Moses, Jesus and Muhammad were too liberal for the religious and political leaders of their time". He also considers being called a liberal a great compliment.  Let's stop here a moment. Liberals love to say Jesus was a liberal. Sure He taught caring for the poor, but were I a betting man I would wager He would be pro-life. I really see no liberal leanings in Moses at all. He was a butt kicker who supported the death penalty. And Muhammad was a pedophile who was envious of the stature of Christian leaders and came up with his own religion. A religion of belittling and marginalizing Christians at best. Killing them wantonly in the name of Allah. Now, he is liberal. Reminds me of Howard Dean. Then Mr Waters goes on to give some definitions of what the word liberal means. 1. Favorable to progress and reform. 2. Free from prejudice and bigotry. 3. Characterized by generosity and willingness to give in large amounts. These are just a few he gives. He failed to mention how liberalism also gives us manufactured babies to slaughter so stem cells can be harvested. He also fails to mention how liberalism gave us the freedom to murder millions of unborn children. Looking at how it all balances out, the manufacture and slaughter of babies for fetal stem cells, the wholesale murder for profit of unborn children I fail to see how being called a liberal could be any kind of compliment.

I Wonder When

In a few minutes of news reading this morning, I have read about a woman cutting another woman's throat and taking her week old baby, the death and inquest of Anna Nicole Smith's son, and last and most sickening of all, a story about three 20 year old young sickos who were digging up a young womans grave to have sex with the corpse. I can't help but wonder when He is returning. I can't help but wonder, how much worse can it get before He returns. I mean sexual perversion is rampant. Did anyone catch the Dateline episode about teens online the other night? Perversion is indeed out of control. 

    People are killing each other in arguments over shoes, clothes, and women. People strapping bombs to themselves and killing innocents in the name of their religion. Oh speaking of religion everyone is upset about what Rosie said on the View about Christians being as dangerous as radical Islamists. Look at the source. She hates Christians because of her chosen lesbian lifestyle, which to me makes her opinion null and void. Anything to justify the way she lives.   

Morality and decency are under attack in this country. Thousands of babies killed every day in abortion mills ran by Planned Parenthood which, by the way is now a partner of the Girl Scouts of America. I have bought my last cookie. When I see all these things going on day after day, I can't help but think Christ will be back soon. I know we are not to be date setters, but I wonder how much longer He will wait. I wonder when.

Is it any wonder

I was traveling past our local high school a few days ago and I noticed a young lady in a very short pair of shorts and a sports bra running down the road. I remember thinking how inappropriate her attire was. Then to my amazement around the corner came more girls dressed as scantily as the first young lady. As a matter of fact they were all wearing identical outfits. It was then I realized it was the girls track team from the high school. I don't know why I was so stunned by this. Our schools, much like the rest of our society has been growing more and more sexually liberal for lack of a better term. Things that were once considered perverse and weird are now just an "alternative lifestyle". Our daughters are flaunting their bodies while we and the school systems sit idly by and watch a generation be molded by MTV and the liberal ideas promulgated by the mainstream media, and special interest groups such as NOW, Gay and Lesbian student organizations, and of course the family's most fervent enemy the ACLU. We are supposed to be a government of the people so I can only assume most people are happy with the way things are in a our schools and in society as a whole. This is appalling. Isn't it time we as a people should rise up and cry out enough is enough. No longer should we be content with the status quo. No longer should we allow a very vocal and organized minority to dictate to us and our children. No longer should we allow perversion to be pushed on our children as normal. It is time to put a stop to it. Because of apathy among decent God fearing people we now say "is it any wonder" things are the way they are.

"I can't explain it"

This morning as I was cooking breakfast after working all night, a news story caught my attention. In California a woman was trapped in her completely submerged suv. You could just barely see the roof. As rescuers were fervently trying to rescuer her, the current was battering them. All of a sudden one rescuer reaches down grabs her arm and pulls her from certain death. In the interviews later the rescuer was saying he didn't know how he was able to grab her under the water like that. While this in and of itself is amazing here is the kicker. After the flash flood subsided and they pulled her vehicle from the water all the windows were up. That's right, she was rescued blindly from beneath the surface of this raging stream. Wow! The rescuer said "I can't explain it". Well I can explain it. Almighty God in His infinite mercy rescued this woman from certain death. I don't know if this woman is a believer. I do know God has a reason and purpose for her rescue. Whenever God moves and the secular news reports on it, you never fail to hear the phrase "I can't explain it". Believers everywhere need to cry out "I can explain it"! I give God glory and honor for saving this woman. I love how obvious He made it also. How else do you explain this? One of the many great things about the Lord is His class. It is wonderful to serve a loving nurturing God. He never asks me to strap on a bomb and blow up women, children and myself. He never tries to tempt me with 72 virgins in the after life. What man in his right mind would want 72 women. Is it really true that muslims believe that? I have to do some research. But I digress. Look it is obvious to me God enabled this woman to be rescued. How could she not realize there had to be divine intervention? I can't explain it.

Oil them up

What would happen if a Christian or Jewish group forced at gunpoint an Arab man to convert to Christianity or Judaism? Our friends in Europe and in the mainstream media would have a fit. There would be demands for apologies, there would be mass demonstrations, and we might even see full scale riots. Recently the Fox News team that was kidnapped was released and told of their forced conversion to Islam. Forced at gunpoint. Now I realize this is a spiritual battle and our weapons are not carnal, but sometimes the good ole boy in me rises up and I want to get my guns out and oil them up and start evangelizing. Now of course I won't, mainly because the God I serve would not have men forced to serve Him. He invented that thing called free will. Remember? The fact is, Islam is a religion founded upon violence. Islam has long used forced conversions to convert those conquered in wars past. This post isn't really meant to be about Islam. I am however disappointed, although not surprised by the fact  the media has not held those responsible accountable for the forced conversion of aforementioned news crew. I have to ask myself why the media hates christians. I have no answers. Is it because of the moral absolutes true Christians adhere to? Is it the fact that there will be judgement and all people will be held accountable? I believe it is a combination of those things and also a literal aversion to any kind of moral absolutes. It is human nature to be rebellious. It is our nature to disobey. Man by nature is corrupt. A child does not have to be taught to lie. He has to be taught to tell the truth. A child does not have to be taught to be selfish with his toys. He has to be taught to share. We as a species do not like to be held accountable, and I feel this is a big reason the media is biased against bible believing Christians. What do we do about it? As a fleshly man I would say oil them up and let's convert them. In the end we have to do as we are called to do. We have to love them, pray for them and show them the way. In the end the media like everything else is in the Fathers hand.

Move them out.

Every time I read articles on Christian news services, such as Agape Press, I see articles about schools pushing the homosexual agenda and parents suing to stop it. I understand why they sue, but it is a spiritual battle not a legal battle. I believe it is time we separate, in a manner of speaking. This year I pulled my two children who are still home from the public school system and enrolled them in Gateway Christian academy's extension program. So far I must say I love it. I was reading through their history and science books and I am thrilled. It is the real American History and not the revised version taught in our schools these days. I wish I had made this decision years ago. Now, the girls youth pastor doesn't like it much. He says the school is their mission field. He may be right to a degree, but I am accountable for seeing that my children are brought up believing God's word is true. They don't need to be bombarded everyday with teaching that flies in the face of sound biblical teaching. They are after all, still children. They are very mature children, but still children. So I say to you if you are concerned move them out. I don't feel like they left the mission field. I feel like almighty God delivered them from Egypt.

Folly

 I saw the recent interview Mike Wallace did with the President of Iran. Mike was simply awestruck. I have not seen Mike Wallace like that before. Mike was especially touched by Ahmadinajad's stated concern about poor Americans without health care. I wonder why Mike didn't stop to think good ole Ahmadinajad's solution to that is to finance terrorist groups who carry out missions to kill as many Americans as possible, which in turn makes the need for health coverage go away. What a sweet guy. I'd like to invite him over for pork ribs some day. Oops that wasn't politically correct was it? Oh well I will have to find a way to live with myself. Seriously i don't understand the media love affair with terrorists and crackpots. The Islammofascists want us dead. Well us,  and the Jewish people. It has been that way since Genesis chapter 21. The bottom line is this. Whether you like it or not the people of Israel are God's chosen people. The Lord promised Abraham " I will bless those who bless you. I will curse those who curse you".  I can't speak for everyone else, but I personally don't intend to bring any more curses upon my house. I know some may call me a religious fanatic and ask me what makes my perceived fanaticism any different than the lslamists. The difference is I am not trying to blow up planes, buildings, women or children in the name of God. The God I serve would condemn me for that.  What can we do? What we have to do. We have to pray for our families, our leaders, our allies and especially our enemies. Oh and pray that good ole Mike Wallace may someday get a clue. God bless

Lord please help us

I wonder how many people have heard of Phillip Distacio? He is a 34 year old man who believes it is healthy and his constitutional right to have sex with young boys. He is on trial presently for rape.  Here is what he said.

"I'm a pedophile. I've been a pedophile for 20 years. The only reason I'm charged with rape is that no one believes a child can consent to sex. The role of my ministry is to get these cases out of the courtrooms." Also adding, "Not all pedophilia is bad, and sex [with boys] can be healthy." This is a sick dangerous man who needs to be put away for the rest of his life. The thing that scares me the most is this. I'm afraid someday,  some judge will agree with this kind of sick perverted thinking. It just gets worse and worse. The moral standard in this country is almost nonexistent. Those that do have the courage to speak out about immorality are labeled religious fanatics, and hate mongers. I really like it when liberals say Jesus didn't judge when He was here He ministered. When He returns He is coming as judge. His judgement will be a righteous judgement and those who espouse pedophilia and other immoral ideas will too late see the error of their ways. Hell will be full of new believers. Unfortunately they came to belief to late. There are no dead atheists. Lord please help us.

Rambling on

 I am a news junkie. There, I have admitted it. Now maybe I can recover. I don't know why I watch and read the news so much. Most of it just makes me angry, sad, disgusted or a combination of all three. From the liberals who want to take away my religious rights, to the anti-Semitics who continually trash Israel for defending herself. ( Jew haters you need to read Genesis 12:1 through 12:3). I know my position isn't popular these days, but I've always thought popularity and having a lot of friends was overrated anyway. Now for those who disagree with me feel free to comment or email me, but don't be offended if I ignore you. That's the great thing about having your own blog. I need to use my blog more. It is great for stress relief, and keeping me awake when I am working nights. I don't want anyone to misunderstand me, I don't hate liberals. One of my best friends and coworker claims to be a liberal although I think he just says that to get on my nerves. I have another friend who is liberal and I'm not sure he realizes it. I love and pray for them both. All liberals aren't bad. Howard Dean has given me many reasons to laugh out loud the past few years, and Hillary brings a whole new meaning to the term, oops I can't say words like that anymore. I am going to bring this session of rambling to a close. I hope you were enlightened, entertained, aggravated or a combination of the three. God bless you. Even you two liberal friends of mine.

Barabbas

 I was reading in Matthew 27 tonight during a break at work and something just jumped out at me as I was reading. Pilate really didn't see any reason for Jesus to be out to death so he gave the crowd a choice. They could choose Barabbas or they could choose Jesus. We know of course from the biblical record they chose Barabbas.
Doesn't everyone have to make that choice at some point? As a matter of fact we make that choice quite often. Do we choose Barabbas or sin, or do we choose Jesus? How many times have we felt that little prick of conviction only to ignore it and choose our bad attitude, or our lust, or our envy or our anger, or any number of things. I have to tell you, Barabbas hasn't done anything for me and I don't think he has ever done anything for anyone else either. Look at the world around us. War, political strife, sin, debauchery are rampant in our society. Our children are endangered as never before. Isn't it time we crucify Barabbas and choose Jesus? Isn't it time we crucify sin and choose life?
